Rocket Boys is back with buzz with the upcoming season 2. Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh are all set to reprise their roles as Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai respectively.
Rocket Boys 2 release date
Rocket Boys season 1 was released on 4th February 2022 on the SonyLiv OTT Platform. The plot essentially talks about the lives and works of Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.
The series was well acclaimed by critics and audiences as it showcased an honest and intriguing story, which generally keeps the audience invested in the story. The series is directed by Abhay Pannu and created by Nikhil Advani promising a fresh story to continue the saga. Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger and season 2 will be out soon as per the makers.
The first teaser of Season 2 was announced on 15 August 2022 which showed a glimpse of the nuclear bomb testing. The official teaser of Season 2 was released on 12 February 2023. The show is going to release sometime in March.

The main protagonists of the show are Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh who are returning to play Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai.
Other actors who are set to return to their characters are Regina Cassandra who plays Vikram Sarabhai’s wife, Mrinalini Sarabhai, Saba Azad as Parvana Irani, Rajat Kapoor as Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Dibyendu Bhattacharya as Raza Mehdi, Arjun Radhakrishnan as Dr. A.B.J Abdul Kalam and other supporting cast.
Rocket Boys 2 Storyline
Season 1 of Rocket Boys talked about the important years of Dr. Homi Bhabha and Dr. Vikram Sarabhai which led to the creation of Bhabha’s Indian Nuclear Programme and Dr. Sarabhai’s Indian Space Programme. The show also focuses on their friendships and hardships along with the launch of India’s first rocket.
Season 2 of Rocket Boys will focus on the formation of India’s first nuclear bomb, its testing, and how it helped India by turning itself into a nuclear nation.
The story is set against the backdrop of India’s Independence and focuses on three important decades from 1940 to the 1960s.

The show is headlined by Nikkhil Advani and written and directed by Abhay Pannu. The series essentially falls under the genre of Biography, Drama, and History. Season 1 had eight episodes of 35 to 40 minutes. Season 2 is also expected to produce eight episodes of a similar running time.
